Although cable retractors are designed to provide years of trouble free service the type of atmosphere they are used in, or prolonged cable exposure to the sun or moisture may impact the overall service life. For example, use near chemical or paint sprays or failure to allow cable to retract when not in use will reduce the cable’s life.
